We had a wonderful family vacation at Rancho Margot. The staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful, especially with our kids. The farm tour and fishing option were big hits. The breakfast had a great variety and exceeded our expectations. The location was ideal for accessing activities on this side of the mountain, and we were able to take a shortcut to Monteverde. The bungalows were cozy and clean, and the daily morning yoga was a perfect way to start the day. the organic sustainable farm atmosphere and friendly staff made our stay unforgettable.

Can't recommend this hotel highly enough.

We had an absolutely dream-like experience at Rancho Margot! The grounds were expansive and beautifully designed, with streams, waterfalls, and horse stables. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. Our children had a blast playing and exploring, especially during the night hikes where we saw fascinating frogs, snakes, and glowing stars. It was amazing to learn about the organic and sustainable practices of the farm, including the farm tour and cow milking experience. The organic salads were delicious, and the peaceful and quiet atmosphere was perfect for relaxation. The bungalows were cozy, and we loved spending time on the hammocks and front porches. it was a remote and rejuvenating getaway that we highly recommend.

    All was perfect! 😊

I recently stayed at Rancho Margot for a week-long retreat. The self-sustainability of the property was impressive, from the hydro power to the composting for the food gardens. The location was beautiful and peaceful, with abundant wildlife. The breakfast was hearty and delicious, with fresh fruits, homemade yogurt, and typical Tico food. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the bungalows were spacious and comfortable.

Can't recommend highly enough this hotel.

Rancho Margot Sustainable & Self Sufficient Eco Lodge was a hidden gem chosen by my director for our recent business trip to El Castillo. The hotel offered a wide range of amenities and services, making my stay truly enjoyable. The highlight for me was the exceptional massage treatments provided by skilled professionals. After a long day of meetings, it was incredibly rejuvenating to indulge in a soothing massage at the hotel's spa. , the facilities at Rancho Margot were impressive, with well-maintained grounds and a peaceful atmosphere that promoted relaxation and tranquility. The hotel truly embodies its commitment to sustainability and self-sufficiency, creating an eco-friendly environment that left a positive impression on me.

    Was very overpriced.

Text: Had a blast at this eco lodge! Loved the guided ranch tour, natural pools, and waking up to the sounds of the rainforest. The bungalows were simple but cozy. And guess what? They even have homemade pizzas! Not a single complaint, except for the hot shower enthusiasts. 😜

The room was great, with a private bathroom that had hot-water showers and free toiletries. It even had homemade soap! I loved that the bungalow had a balcony and patio, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the surrounding nature. The soundproofing was a big plus, ensuring a peaceful and quiet stay.

Personally, I didn't like that the bungalow only had a balcony. I would have preferred some additional outdoor space.

We loved the beautiful gardens and the peacefulness of the surroundings. the kids enjoyed the soccer "instructions" and Ginger the dog was adorable. the hike up to the Mirador was breathtaking, especially the sunrise view over Volcan Arenal. the staff, including Jonathan and the young lady at the front desk, were very friendly. Chef Michael and Mira went out of their way to make our stay special, with a personalized meal and a birthday cake for Alejandra. the bar staff, especially Felix, made us feel welcome and provided excellent service. Tanya was an amazing host, ensuring our needs were met and making us feel like valued guests. Emmanuel, the tour guide, was knowledgeable and accommodating. Fabian helped us find our room and was a helpful jack-of-all-trades.

Felt warm, no complaints at all.
